Amazing Thirsties Giveaway (even if you don’t cloth diaper)! – CLOSED!
March 1, 2010
However, if you don’t cloth diaper, by the time you’re done visiting their website you’re going to want to. So grab a cup of tea, your fast typing hand, a credit card and read on. The giveaway for this week comes from Thirsties. Thirsties is a small (but growing!) cloth diaper company committed to greener parenting and Eco Friendly solutions, not to mention 100% USA Made quality! Erin, the owner of Thirsties, started this business with an old sewing machine and $100 five years ago. Through her hard work and diligence, her company is now one of the leaders in the cloth diaper industry. Their diapers are now made by work at home mothers, and very close to their Canon City warehouse, reducing their carbon output. When I first looked into cloth diapers, Thirsties was the name that came up over and over again. I love them, as declared in another post about their diapers.
Thirsties sent me their new Booty Luster (I love that name!) and Fab Wipes to use and review. The Booty Luster is made by hand in small batches, using flowers, plants, resins, and high quality organic ingredients. I love how clean and fresh it smells, and that only a few sprays (like 3) took care of any mess that was made. It dissolved it all and made it so simple to wipe away. After a few days of using it, I noticed Bella’s diaper rash was gone. Now, this is incredible. My poor child has had diaper rash almost every day since she was born. Being a first time mom, I thought for a while she just had a cute little red bum. :/ I felt so bad when I finally realized that it was rash. We tried creams, lotions, airing it out, different diapers – everything. It came back within 2 days no matter what. Since using the Booty Luster she hasn’t had any. Even Sam has noticed the difference. We were really amazed. It dries quickly and leaves no residue – just a soft, really clean feeling.
The Fab Wipes that they sent me are so soft and colorful. Whether you have a boy or girl – these will work. The wipes measure 8×8 inches and are 2 ply. A textured cotton velour on one side to assist with bigger wipe-ups and delicate microfleece on the other side for drying or for lighter messes. Most people spend around $550 total in disposable wipes – for one child. Wow, that’s a lot of money! You can drop $50 on cloth wipes and have enough to use them from birth to potty. So $500 extra. Nice. That’s a lot of shoes. Or more cloth diapers. 🙂
The great part of this giveaway is even if you don’t cloth diaper, you can still use these. I use wipes in the night for quick changes on Bella when I don’t want to walk all the way into her room. And I have the travel version of the Booty Luster I spray her with first and then use 1-2 wipes. I find that otherwise I can use 4+ wipes on her with a big mess – they never seem to be wet enough. This spray cuts the number in half. The Fab Wipes can be used anytime – and not just for diaper changes. They are great for wiping up messes and cleaning faces. They are very thin, yet sturdy, and can be packed easily for trips. Throw them in the wash after use. It’s that simple.
Thirsties website offers a free catalog of their products – also available in .pdf online. Their website shows you where to locally buy their products (click on Retailers then enter your zip). You can also purchase items directly from their outlet – all the things are useable but slightly imperfect seconds. Like a spot or slight sewing flaw. So really nothing.

I'm Diana, and my blog is about loss, grief, motherhood, trauma, faith, moments of incredible wonder, candid thoughts, and a little snark. You can find more details on our story here.
Sam and I have been married since I was 19. He was 20. He's an OIF, medically retired veteran of the Army and Marines. We have 5 children - Bella was born in 2009 after a rather bumpy pregnancy and her first year was mostly crazy reflux. Preston and Julian, my identical twins, were born at 20 weeks in 2012 and lived only a few hours. Kaden was born full term in 2013 seemingly perfect, and at 4 days old he was found to have cardiomyopathy due to ciHHV-6. He passed away at 3 weeks old. Charlotte was born in 2015, and was a complete surprise to us. Each of them have changed our lives completely.
Currently I'm in school to become a counselor who focuses on trauma and grief.
I love Jesus - even though sometimes I get really angry and upset at the way our life has gone. I hope through my faults, insecurities, snarkiness, selfish nature, and general mess - my love for Christ and His work in my life shines through in my story.
