The Picture of Perfection

September 25, 2011

Jynx is my first pet after childhood . He’s the one who curls up against me at night. He is sneaky, gets stuck in Bella’s room and only lets me know just as I’m drifting off to sleep. He likes to scream at me for food.

He startles so easily that he’s nearly torn off my leg trying to run away from a noise or sudden movement.

He also adores moths. Anything shaped like a moth. In this picture, he was focused on a nail in the wall that must have resembled one.

He’ll be 9 this December and I can’t imagine life without him. Who knew I would love a little animal so very much?

Oh man do I know exactly how you feel. My cat Belle is 15 (and a half) and I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s gone. Even my husband who doesn’t really like cats (and especially doesn’t really like my other two cats) loves her and says she’s the perfect cat.

(Jynx is a great name for a cat btw 🙂

I feel the same way about my cat, Puba. I got him my senior year in high school and he came to live with me after my mom passed away. He’s the last link I feel like I have to her (since I have no brothers or sisters and she was divorced from my dad). He’s 12 now and still going strong.
