Guest Posts and Googling

October 19, 2011

Today (well yesterday but I spaced it out with all that’s going on) I guest posted for Kim at BabyFeet about what happened after I had Bella and why it convinced me to wait on any more children until I get some answers on what exactly it all was. I don’t think it was PPD but I’ve never really known.

While I don’t have any of those feelings now, I do know it could pop up again after another pregnancy. Because of this, Sam and I decided to take our time in having a second child, and adopting instead at some point.

I hope you’ll read and maybe someone will relate completely (maybe with an answer?).

Right now I’m with Kim at her gorgeous home back east, watching our children play together. Bella is completely smitten with Kim’s oldest daughter. We may drive her husband insane with blog talk. I’m going to Costco for the first time ever today.

I know, right?

Tomorrow I’m off to NY for a More Magazine party and then BlogHer Writers training (I get to live blog one of their sessions!). Then Friday I’ll be at the actual BlogHer Writers.

I googled “How to hail a cab” and “How to change trains at Penn Station” so really – thoughts and prayers people. This small town girl is going to need them.

I found NYC to be much easier to navigate than other larger/medium sized cities. Have fun!

CostCo is one of my favorite stores. The things you can get there. Their produce selection (a LOT of which is actually organic and well priced), their large blocks of cheese and their large boxes of Goldfish.

Plus their Food Court is awesome and dirt cheap.

Oh yeah, and have fun with the other stuff too 🙂

You can totally do it. I’m not a big city person either, but I go from time to time and I manage. Oh, and riding in a taxi in NYC is a little stressful, but hey, it’s part of the adventure!! Have fun at Costco! It’s OVERWHELMING!! <3

NYC isn’t actually all that scary a city. It’s big and loud, but most people are actually really helpful! Just make sure you hail a licensed cab – you never know what they’ll charge you in a gypsy cab! You’ll know a licensed one when you see it – it’s covered in things like “TAXI” and license numbers and company names. Gypsy cabs aren’t.
