Surprise Snow and MASSIVE Cuteness

December 7, 2011

So remember how this summer when we moved here to El Paso it was pretty much 105*-108* for a like a month? And I realized that I might never, ever see snow again because, after all, this is the desert.

I pretty much reconciled myself to the fact that for the 3 years that we live here, I would be in shorts, flip flops, and a tank top year round and so I packed my wool coats away. With bitter tears. Because there is nothing that warms my heart like the cold and snow. NOTHING. I am a cold weather girl. Bring on fireplaces, hot cocoa, and boots.

But God placed us here. The land of sun and hot. And everyone liked to poke fun at the soaring temperatures. :/ I was really, really trying to be ok with it being 70* at Christmas. But inside?

I was all kinds of stabby. The never ending sun here sometimes makes me want to cut someone. ::side eyes Santa::

So I tried to take it all in stride.

Well friends, hold on to your sunbonnets because look what showed up yesterday:

SNOW!!!! And our house. Yeah, I

So then Bella, who is in love with all things snow lately, had to go look and play at the half inch in the driveway. We were off to our friends home so she was all wintered up already. I let her crunch around in it for a few minutes.

I love what I managed to capture:

Bella waiting to go in the 'no {snow}
Listening to it crunch.
"'no? 'no Mama? BIG 'no" {insert small heart attack at the cuteness}
And this is right around where I died from the adorable.

So there. I have one of the worlds most darling children and it snowed in El Paso. I am content.

    I cant believe it is so cold too! I didn’t bring any winter clothing as well when we moved! 🙂

    Oh my Bella is so cute in her little eared hooded jackets. The picture of her looking at the snow and just seeing the back of hr head is BEAUTIFUL and stunning! 🙂

    So cute!!

    Every single time Hailey sees snow (whether on her boots, or if it’s snowing, or if it’s just on the car or walkway), she shouts “IT’S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” like 800 times until I acknowledge what she said. And with snow, even acknowledging it isn’t always enough. It’s like she’s fascinated with it every single time she steps outside, even if she just saw it a few hours ago.
