So remember how this summer when we moved here to El Paso it was pretty much 105*-108* for a like a month? And I realized that I might never, ever see snow again because, after all, this is the desert.
I pretty much reconciled myself to the fact that for the 3 years that we live here, I would be in shorts, flip flops, and a tank top year round and so I packed my wool coats away. With bitter tears. Because there is nothing that warms my heart like the cold and snow. NOTHING. I am a cold weather girl. Bring on fireplaces, hot cocoa, and boots.
BRING THEM ON.
But God placed us here. The land of sun and hot. And everyone liked to poke fun at the soaring temperatures. :/ I was really, really trying to be ok with it being 70* at Christmas. But inside?
I was all kinds of stabby. The never ending sun here sometimes makes me want to cut someone. ::side eyes Santa::
So I tried to take it all in stride.
Well friends, hold on to your sunbonnets because look what showed up yesterday:
So then Bella, who is in love with all things snow lately, had to go look and play at the half inch in the driveway. We were off to our friends home so she was all wintered up already. I let her crunch around in it for a few minutes.
I love what I managed to capture:
So there. I have one of the worlds most darling children and it snowed in El Paso. I am content.
