#Blissdom13 Bound

February 1, 2013

I got picked to be a Community Leader at Blissdom this year!

The track they chose for me to lead is Social Good – I’m not totally sure what that means but yes!

This means that I’ll get to go with part of the conference paid for, and in return I’ll volunteer part of my time there to help newbies, lead tables in discussion during sessions, etc.

The BEST part is that it’s in Dallas this year – meaning in Texas! Meaning I still have to fly! Lol. Texas is so huge. Luckily Southwest has some killer deals on tickets from here to there.

I’m also starting to look for a sponsor so if you’re reading this and you’re interested in me being your girl for Blissdom, weeeelllll, then just shoot me an email so we can chat. ::ends shameless pitch::

I’m a little nervous but also excited to have something to do during the conference besides wander around. This is my 5th (5TH!!) blog conference and each time I go I spend the first day feeling awkward and out of place. It’s all me, just the shyness kicks in and the “everyone here hates me”. I’m hoping with a reason to get out there I’ll be a lot better about smashing those insecure feelings down.

Who else is going or might be? I always, always miss someone each conference and so if you’re going let’s try to figure out a way to meet.

I was hoping it was in Nashville again this year, because I’ll be there during that time! Boo 🙁 So I won’t be attending, unfortunately. Some day. I hear Blissdom is one kickin’ conference! Hope you have a great time 🙂

I dreamt last night that you couldn’t go and asked me to help sell your ticket on Facebook. I cried. Then I woke up and there was this post. And I felt all better. <3

Me, me! So excited it’s in my hometown…I had no excuse not to go! 🙂 I hope we can connect!

And, dumb question…when do we register for our tracks? Have I missed something? I’m such a newbie and so confused about it all.

Share your wisdom, o’ great community lead! 😉

I don’t think so – from what I remember last year we just showed up at the ones we wanted. It’s a LOT smaller than BlogHer so there wasn’t the problem of not enough seating. But – if it is different I’ll email you! xo Can’t wait to see you sans kids. 🙂
