He’s here! With a Hiccup.
First of all – thank you for all the thoughts and prayers yesterday. I’ve had an amazing hospital experience here.
Our son was born yesterday at 6:46 pm and weighed 7.9lbs. I have a whole amazing story to tell about it all soon, but for now the most important part is he’s in the NICU after some breathing problems that needed monitoring. It’s very hard as I only was able to hold him a few minutes before he was gone, but we are able to visit and touch him. They are running tests and if he’s ok, we should be able to take him home in a few days.
In the meantime I’m pumping and trying to take care of me so I’m a healthy mama when he’s able to be in my arms. I think the hardest part of this (besides being really scared) is knowing Bella can’t see him till he’s out. That was such a huge deal to me. I know it will happen, it’s just a bit sad. She’ll come visit me today.
We can’t take pics of him in the NICU so only the ones we managed to grab before he went we have. But my birth photographer did send us this amazing shot last night from the ones she took.
Thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers. We are so looking forward to having him home and bombarding you all with pictures.
