Today was photo shoot day. The homeschool room had been mostly set up yesterday. The Land of Nod crew told us they’d be at our home at 8:30am to get started. We planned on getting up around 7 to have things ready for them.
Imagine our complete shock when I woke up and realized it was 8:15.
So Bella is crying because she decided she didn’t get woken up right and DID NOT want to curl her hair. I’m running around like a crazy person; drying outfits, letting out the dog, getting breakfast ready, cleaning up from the night, running the dishwasher, and waiting for Sam to finish his shower so someone can answer the door when they arrive.
Sam gets out, I jump in. Bella is now sobbing at the table about milk being on her Cheerios. (I don’t even know, she was fine 5 minutes later.)
Luckily, the crew was so awesome. I mean really, they were just the most wonderful, laid back, amazing people. They were great with Bella, kind to us, considerate of our home – we couldn’t have asked for better.
They shot us, the room, the room with us in it, us outside – I said jokingly that I’d just tell all the neighbors we were celebrities. LOL
It was a fun day. We had pizza and got to know everyone a little better over lunch. We learned how so much of this stuff works in the behind the scenes. I got to oogle this camera that was just - whew. Like the camera of all cameras.
And after they left, we spent all afternoon and evening in the new room; playing, creating, and dreaming. It’s perfect.
We can’t wait to see the final product. When the catalog comes out, you may see Bella’s precious lovey Yellow Kitty in the spotlight, among other loved animals of hers. And maybe Charlie too.
I’m doing before and after posts, but we’re also packing for Christmas in Colorado and leave in 2 days. So I’m not sure if I’ll get them up by the time we leave. Either way, here’s a little something to leave you all with:
