Lily Jade Bag Review

Lily Jade: The Everything Designer Bag

March 18, 2014

When Bella and I go somewhere, we take a lot of stuff with us. Camera, iPad, face and hand wipes, her toys, little first aid kits, a book or two, and a host of snacks. Which is why I’m a huge fan of big purses. Often they just don’t have enough pockets, so everything ends up in a heap at the bottom while I sort and sift and mumble bad words.

I needed more pockets and more space – but a long lasting purse. Something cute.

Then I discovered the designer diaper bag Lily Jade, which is so much more than your average diaper bag.

I love that I can throw everything in this bag and go, but it’s stylish enough I never feel like I’m lugging around the world inside. Even if I am.

One of my favorite features of my Lily Jade bag is how I’m able to put my DSLR and a couple of lenses in with all the other stuff, and know it’s safe.  We’ve taken it to the zoo packed with snacks, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats. It’s perfect for a trip to the farmer’s market with the insert taken out. I don’t even have to worry about a carry-on when I travel because I can put so many essentials in my Lily Jade bag.

The removable inside bag can be tossed in the wash, and fit into another large tote without having to empty the purse. When in the Lily Jade, it has magnetic snaps to keep it securely inside.

I have the Caroline in Red. It comes as a shoulder bag, but with a quick snap of the included leather strap it converts into a cross body purse. I don’t have an issue with it slipping (nothing more irritating than a constantly slipping purse), and even with several weeks of constant use it looks brand new. Everywhere I go someone asks about my bag, and I love that it is the perfect piece for laid back or dressed up.

The Caroline bag runs $320 but is on sale right now for $250. So yes, this is more than most diaper bags, but it’s a quality, long term piece. Lily Jade makes a bag that serves multiple purposes and, like with me, continues to work past the baby/toddler stages.

Check out the other styles and colors on their site, then dream up what you’re going to use it for.

Ouch! Beautiful bag, but. I don't think many moms could afford that. I know I can't….

Beautiful tote! Could you show a few pictures of how your DSLR fits in there? I am always afraid to put mine in my bag with all my other stuff but would love to be able to bring it everywhere with me, worry free!

How much was I hoping that this was a giveaway post once I read about that bag. Seriously, I **NEED** that bag. Child #3 is due in 11 weeks and I can see what a lifesaver THAT bag would be. Ahhh!
