Star From Afar {A Different Kind of Christmas Search} w/ a Giveaway!

December 20, 2016

This year for Christmas we switched our search from the Elf to something I thought Bella would also love. It’s called Star From Afar, and its focus is on celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.

It’s a game and beautifully colored, wooden nativity set. The set up is simple, and the story is written out in a book broken up into small stories for each day along with the verse to go with it.

Centered around the Christmas story, the premise is that each night the star is hidden somewhere in the house, and the children search for it in the morning. Once they find it, the Wise Men move to where the star is – thus “following the star” from night to night until they reach Jesus on Christmas morning.

We set up the manger scene to wait for it, and in the meantime the star seems to make it’s way over on a daily basis anyway since Bella loves to play with it.

I love the concept and the simplicity of it all. It’s also a simple way to incorporate the Christmas story into our days without having a separate time for that. Right now through the 25th, the sets are 10% off with the code FOLLOWTHESTAR. Grab one for you and another for a friend and have an early Christmas gift ready for next year.
