I don’t like to NIP, so I did a giveaway

June 1, 2010
NIP. Something that has a meaning within a meaning. I don’t really like NIP – or nursing in public – because I am afraid of nip(ping). I’m afraid I might flash everyone around me, or that I’ll accidentally offend someone with my boob. I know it sounds silly to those of you who are advocates for bf’ing in public, and I am too – I just am a tad terrified of it.

I’d like to ponder for a second where that modesty was in high school…?

Anyway, nips aside, I have one of those covers I usually wear to nurse Bella in public. But often she gets all hot and sweaty underneath it, and pulls on the top so it caves in, or swings herself all over the place and I continually have to cover us back up while everyone in sight looks away. I went looking for something easier.

Enter the Baby Bond. A simple, delicate fabric put together so that you can nurse your baby easily but covered, with a detachable, absorbent burp cloth at the top. The best part? It’s all on me, so there isn’t anything covering Bella. I can wear a shirt and just pull it down to nurse her, and the Baby Bond covers my breast up. Here we are in the park the other day, and I felt comfortable like this:

I love how soft it is, how I washed it twice already and it’s stretchy so that it just slides right on. When I got mine (in Flex Charcoal because gray is amazing) it came in a sweet little box and it’s own carrying pouch – from the same material as the nursing wrap. You can choose Original, Flex, or Couture depending on your nursing needs.
I can toss it into her diaper bag, in my purse, on the side of her carseat – it’s lightweight and smooches into any tiny space so it’s perfect for all the traveling we’ve been doing lately.
So, key points:
  • Baby Bond is soft and ever so pretty.
  • It’s light and small enough to carry anywhere.
  • It works magic for nursing moms.
  • It would make a great shower gift.
  • I <3 my nips being covered up.

Just for you guys, Baby Bond is offering 25% off of your purchase until June 15th. Which quite honestly makes me want to buy another one. Use code “cool” when checking out.
