A Perfect Fall Day.

October 11, 2011

Saturday we took Bella over to a farm in New Mexico for a walk through the corn maze and to pick a pumpkin. It was a chilly day, we got up early, filled our coffee mugs and made the 45 minute trip up.

 She loved her tiny pumpkins.

Daddy and Bella on the hayride. She loved to watch the tractor.

Feeding the goat. He was just a tad smaller than her, and let her pet him.

Those lips. Isn’t my kid the cutest? I’m going to lock her up around age 12. Or send her to a convent.

Us going into the corn maze. We never made it through because it was so massive, but we did spend quite a bit of time getting lost.

She could not get over that the goat would eat from her hand. It was the highlight of her day.

The hayride. We sat right behind the wheels and got covered with dust. It was really fun though, we got a full tour of the farm.

Roasted corn. It was supposed to be mine. But that ended when Bella took a bite.

Corn Maze. This thing was awesome. Apparently they have them all over the US by a company that does them?

We ended the day driving home after lunch with me sitting in the backseat trying to keep Bella awake till we got home. It worked. A perfect day.

Did I mention I love fall?

Looks like such a great time!
My daughter LOVES tractors, she will stop whatever she is doing if she sees one.
She also loves animals of any kind.
    That Goat would thrill her!

All two weeks of fall in Texas are fantastic!

Though the winters aren’t bad at all, they’d probably be considered fall in the northern part of the country.

As for Bella, you need to do with her what I suggested to my friend (who is VERY BIG and has a 9 year old daughter). Get a plain colored t-shirt and put a picture of your husband on it (in his case I’d go with combat gear and a gun) and make her wear it every day when she gets to the point where she thinks she’s old enough to date.

Then, when she’s old enough to date (you know, 30 or so), you let her pick her own clothes.

That looks like so much fun! I *love* hayrides, and corn is one of my favorite things to eat!

Yay! I am loving the fall photo posts!

We just went on a hayride on Sunday. But is it just me or did the dust and allergens make your nose go crazy? My face felt like it was crawling after that!

I don’t get allergies like ever (don’t hate!) but I can’t imagine the ride if I did. There was just SO much dust and pollen in the air.
