Yesterday Bella and I headed out to play in the yard. With her beloved dump truck. She loves nothing better than a pile of dirt, leaves, and sticks. So pink sweater and all, we went to make a mess. Little did I know…
She vroomed her truck over the dirt and I showed her how to scoop and dump. I started snapping away, remembering what you all had said about late afternoon lighting being better. This was at around 4:00 pm. For those of you interested, they were taken in manual, most of them 1/800S, f/1.8, ISO 400. <—- I’m learning!
She found a tiny stick. And broke it. Then threw it. At me.
And a leaf. And crunched it up. (Don’t be fooled, those tiny hands were vicious with the crunching.)
Then back to the trucks, where the dirt needed to be poured.
Onto her pants.
Then tossed in the air.
Again. In total delight. As I watched in amusement. Then said, “Bella, honey, you’re going to…”
Then it landed in her eyes (like I’d almost warned her about)
and everyone was done.
