This was my first full week blogging at Babble. I was hired to write at their blog Being Pregnant 5 times a week. I’ve got to admit, as big of a learning curve as it’s been (and as hard as it is to do in front of an audience) I’m absolutely loving it. Loving being busy, loving pushing myself for the ideas I’ve wanted to get out, loving the job.
I’m falling into a routine. A bit. I’ll admit I don’t have it all together here, the first few days life just tipped over as I scrambled to keep up. But as time goes on, nap becomes writing time, night is editing and doing research. There is the here and there from my phone as I go about my day, but I really am trying to keep from doing any major writing until Bella is in bed. I’ve set aside about 45 minutes each morning (usually before she wakes up) to get emails answered and posts up.
A few of my favorite posts so far have been:
- – Boys, Girls or Both? The Big TwinUltrasound
- – How one mom’s honesty changed my pregnancy.
- – My pregnancy through the past 16 weeks – a timeline.
- – A post to anyone who struggled with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. (Comments will blow your mind)
- – I’m dreading breastfeeding but trying to be proactive about it.
I’ve had several people ask about subscribing to a feed there. You can’t subscribe directly to mine, but I put my posts on my FB page to make it easier to find, and the buttons on the right sidebars here go directly to all the posts I’ve written. I also tweet them but then you have to sift through my jabber. You can also subscribe to Babble’s newsletter and like Being Pregnant on FB.
I did want to mention that I am fully in control of my posts/comments at Babble. So please know if someone decides to go over and be nasty or mean, I have the choice to delete/block people. Same as here. We are able to see IP’s and emails. (It might also just get marked as spam but I’m not sifting through the 2,000 spam Babble gets a day.)
Thanks for all the love over there. The comments, the tweets, the likes, the retweets – anything you do is always a little reminder of how very blessed I am to have you all standing behind me.
