Routines, Poop, that darn Paci, and Baby Names

April 7, 2012

This week has been INSANE.

And I’m loving every minute.

But I’m not going to lie, I am really looking forward to getting past the learning curve of working from home and keeping up two blogs. And finding a picture for each post for Babble.

Killer. Pics for twin anything is killer.

My brain is fried to the max and I try to shut it off at night but it rolls around with post after post and edits them in my head. To all you who run multiple blogs and work and have kids – props. I am in awe.

In other news, Bella’s potty training has been going really well. Day 2 and 3 have been completely accident free. When we are home, she wears pants all day with no diaper and goes pee about 70 times a day to get an M&M. No, um, #2 yet. She saves that for nap and then wakes up hollering that she has a “BIG POO!”

I can’t wait for the day that big poo makes it’s way into just the potty. I’ll blog more in detail about it later, but it’s really just her asking or me asking about the potty.

Also – we are done with pacifiers. That truly is another post I can’t wait to write. It happened today and it was amazing. I’m so glad we waited to do it till she was ready. It was a lot easier than I thought.

Sam’s grandparents are visiting this weekend. Bella is super cute and super hyper with them. It’s like she has baby Red Bulls stashed somewhere that she drinks before we go to see them. So much energy.

In baby news… Sam and I have decided not to share baby names – even when we find out the sexes. With anyone. I just, sometimes I feel like I share so much and we get nothing that is just ours for a while. And with this being out last pregnancy and all, I want to have something just between us. We may tell before they’re born, or share some ideas we have, but more than likely I think we’ll just announce it when we have them. I’ve had some friends lately who have done this (or just selectively shared) and I think it’s special.

Anyway, that’s it for now. You can read about the time I was glad I over shared here, and how much I hated breastfeeding but plan on trying it again (x 2) here. I’m also looking to do a post on pictures of multiple pregnancies (twins, trips, whatever) in their last weeks – if you have a pic and you’d like to share it and be linked back in the post, email me and we’ll chat. I’m excited for this one as it’s something I have always found so amazing about our bodies.

Thank you for all the sweet comments and likes and tweets and anything else – anyone who knows about Babble understands that matters and I appreciate it greatly. I really do. You guys are amazing.

I’m off to pass out on the couch while Sam watches creepy X Files. :/ I think it’s because of the music.

Or David Duchovny.

Yeah. It’s mostly him.

Congrats on the new gig! We didn’t share the names of either of our boys. I wanted them to know their name before anyone else did. And it was special to keep that to ourselves for the very reasons you mentioned. I share so much on social media that it was nice to have that just to ourselves.

Congrats on the Babble gig! Way to go!

I hear you about sharing names. I tell everyone in real life, but I’m waiting to put it on the blog until he’s born. I’m excited to announce it, but I like the idea of saying [insert name] is here!
